Windows Visual Performance Settings

To enhance your windows performance you can tune the visual settings allowing more processing power to go to the applications you desire. The visual performance settings are held in your system properties. Right click on my computer from the context menu select Properties.

Inside the system properties window select the Advanced tab. Click the Settings button in the performance section.

The performance Options window will open up with the Visual Effects tab. The third radio button Adjust for best performance will uncheck all of the visual effects check boxes.

You should notice less rendering being done in your windows operating system. The most noticable difference will be when you move a window you will see an outline of the window you are moving while the original window stays in one place. This will create a noticable difference on smaller systems.
